We were pleased to welcome the engineering students from St Helen’s College, along with their tutors, to Thomas Brown Engineering recently.
The students were interested to learn more about the type of work we do here and the sectors we serve. They asked good questions as we toured the workshop and were interested in the many ways our processes are automated, particularly how our manufacturing is automated through bar fed, pallet loaded and robot loaded machines.
We discussed our programme of LEAN and how we seek to implement lean throughout our business by identifying the waste in all processes and seeking to reduce or eliminate it. It was a pleasure to host the students and we wish them every success in their future engineering careers!
