We are pleased to share with you our new addition to our inspection capability here at Thomas Brown Engineering.
This is our Aberlink Extol 520 CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine. The robustness of the Extol’s design and accuracy in non-controlled environments, means we have placed it on our shop floor, next to the machine tools, right where the work is being done. Whilst our larger CMM in our inspection facility is getting on with it’s work, this compact machine is working alongside our production engineers, increasing our inspection surveillance and automatically verifying part quality for our customers’ critical components.
Entirely British designed and manufactured, the Extol is the World’s first CMM to utilise a delta mechanism and won Aberlink the 2024 Kings Award for Innovation.
We were pleased to work with Aberlink Ltd on this digital transformation project. Like us, they are a British company, proud to deliver British made quality and innovation to their customers.
We are very appreciative of the support given to us by the Digital Enterprise West Yorkshire programme towards the cost of this investment. Funded by UK Government and West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and managed by Leeds City Council, the fund is a crucial part in helping businesses like ours to invest and drive innovation in our region. Thank you for your support, Digital Enterprise!
